What Railway is
Railway runs your code for you. Connect a GitHub repository (or a Docker image), and Railway builds it, gives it a public URL, keeps it running and redeploys on every push. Databases - Postgres, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB - are one-click services in the same project, already networked to your app.

How to use it
- Create a project, pick Deploy from GitHub and select the repo. Railway detects the language and builds.
- Add a database from + New → Database; copy the connection variables into the service (Railway can reference them automatically).
- Set environment variables per environment; secrets are hidden from logs.
- Add a custom domain under Settings → Domains - SSL is automatic.
- Watch the Metrics tab for the first week and set resource limits so a bug cannot run up a bill.
